XMapTools software (referred to herein as “XMapTools”, “software”, “website”, “we”, “our”) developed this policy to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy and protection of personal data. Collection of Personal Data
In order to provide our products, services, and websites as described in Use of Information below, we collect and process personal data from the users of our products, services, and website. We may collect information from you such as, but not limited to, your name, email address, website address, nickname of third-party websites, biographical information and information about your use of our website, products and services (“Personal Data”). You are not required to provide us with all of the Personal Data listed above, but if you do not do so, we may not be able to effectively provide you with our products, services and information.
We do not collect any Personal Data, usage or diagnostic information when you download, install or use XMapTools and during automatic updates.
Information You Directly and Voluntarily Provide to Us
Online registration: when you join in the website, you are required to provide certain information, including your name and email address. You may also voluntarily provide us with information such as your website address, nickname of third-party websites, biographical information. This information is only used to communicate with you.
Announcements: when you join in the website, you subscribe to XMapTools News for no charge. This information is used to send to you announcements and advertisements about our products and services. You may unsubscribe at any time by unselecting the “Accept to receive emails sent to multiple recipients (but still accept emails sent only to me)” option at the bottom of your profile.
Forum: When you post using our forum service, we collect the data shown in the post form, and also the your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Media: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact form: We keep contact form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.
Information We Automatically Collect from You
We analyze traffic to this site. We collect statistical data on an aggregated basis. For example, we collect information about the domain names of servers that bring visitors to our site, and we count the number of visitors and keep track of where they go on our site. Such information allows us to find out what areas users visit most frequently and what services they access the most, which enables us to create a better overall experience for our users. To gather such data, we use “cookie” technology, which are small amounts of data that are stored within your computer’s Internet browser and that are accessed and recorded by the websites that you visit so that they can recognize the same browser navigating online at a later time.
Cookies
If you have an account and you log in to this website, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

In order to offer our services and information, we partners with trusted third-party Service Providers. These include our website hosting company. The Personal Data shared with each provider is limited to the specific product or service they help us to provide. Through our contracts with them, these Service Providers are not permitted to use your data for any other purpose. We do not sell or otherwise make available any Personal Data for other organizations’ marketing purposes.
In certain, limited circumstances we may share or transfer personal information to unrelated third parties. We collect and processes Personal Data and store the data on servers located in Switzerland.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that this website and our Service Providers have implemented physical, electronic, and procedural security measures to assist with safeguarding your personal information, and to help protect against unauthorized access and disclosure. Notwithstanding our efforts, the Internet has inherent security risks. We cannot promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information, personal searches, and other communications will always remain secure. You should take care with regard to how you handle and disclose your personal information or any username or password that you are required to use to access our websites and services.
Data Retention
Personal Data may be retained by us for so long as necessary or useful to pursue the legitimate interests of the software XMapTools. Other factors may include: archiving of historical information and legal requirements, including limitations periods during which a legal claim might be brought.
If you post a message using our forum service, the message and its metadata and attachements are retained indefinitely.
Children
XMapTools is a professional software and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable data from persons under the age of 18. If you are a parent of a child under 18, and you believe that your child has provided us with information about him or herself, please contact us at contact@xmaptools.com.

Our site contains links to other sites and Internet resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these other websites and Internet resources.
Your Individual Rights Regarding Personal Data
If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Such requests must be submitted in writing to us.
